Dear School Community:
I thank God and you for the opportunity to serve you as principal of St. Anne Catholic School. I know that St. Anne is deeply rooted in the gospel values and lives out its commitment to serving the greater community of Beaumont. In its long tradition of academic excellence it has prepared its students as leaders and servants of their communities. It is my commitment to help you continue forming each and every one of your students both spiritually and academically.
I came from a community of faith and formation within the Diocese of Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur for most of my life I was influenced by many notable people. Hence, I chose to study for the priesthood in order to serve our diocese of Beaumont. I came away from seminary formation with a vision to serve as an educator. The first years of my career began in Port Arthur ISD as a teacher and coach. Later, I accepted the position of teacher of Moral Theology for the Arch Diocese of Houston-Galveston. It was at Mount Carmel High School where I began my career in administration. My first post as principal was at St. Mary Catholic School in Orange. Since that wonderful experience at St. Mary, I have worked as principal in two other dioceses, the Arch Diocese of Washington D.C. and Diocese of Dallas.
I am not the only family member that is excited to be a part of your community. I am joined in my excitement by my loving wife Alicia, who has been my best supporter, and my three children Rebecca, Ashten and Anna. Rebecca attends Orangefield H.S., Ashten will attend third grade and Anna is starting Pre-K this coming year at St. Anne.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. The mission of St Anne is
now a proud part of me and my family in which we come to serve you and your
community.
Monsignor William Manger has been Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church for nineteen years.
In addition to celebrating most of the weekly and all-school Masses, Monsignor Manger is with the children
whenever he has the opportunity. He sits with the School Board and guides the Principal in school matters. He counsels with and guides our Religion teachers, and assists with planning liturgies throughout the year.
Monsignor Manger is truly our school's Shepherd. Moveover, he is genuinely loved by the students and parents alike.
